While I am studying abroad at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne for a semester, I figured a blog would be a good idea to keep all of my friends and family updated on my British adventures and a good way for me to not get too homesick.

Day 8
Today was really easy. I had one class from 10-11 AM. It was Faith, Reason, and the Cosmos, which I was nervous that I may not have had the appropriate prerequisites, but, as it turns out, there are none. I am pretty excited to have this course, I get to spend the semester learning about different beliefs regarding the creation or cycle of the universe! This class is also fairly small, about 25 students. After class I wandered downtown on mission, and the conclusions I have come to is that 1) kids in Newcastle grow up with no imagination or fun in their lives. or 2) there are no kids in Newcastle. I spent a few hours before finally finding what I needed.. Then I stood in a really long line or queue at the post office. At least shipping to the U.S. was not nearly as expensive as I thought it was... about the same as shipping to Montana, and it was a bigger box. I returned to my room by 2:00ish, and joined Louise, Kate, and Esther, just sitting around bored for an hour. I'm getting to know the girls more each day, it's great! I then watched Glee, how could I not? it was Michael Jackson! After, there was a knock at my door, so I went to dinner with the girls. Now, I'm just waiting for them to let me know it's movie time... though I'm not a huge fan of scary movies. Hopefully I will still be able to sleep just fine tonight, though I don't have class until 2:00 PM tomorrow! :D
