Day 14

I met Jen for breakfast this morning, where she tried to get a conversation from me, so I had to let her in on the secret that I am neither a morning nor a night person, so I'm very nonresponsive, but I am listening.  Then I headed over to Philosophy and Ethics where I talked with other American students Will and Eric about how unmotivated we feel to actually do any course work because of the U.K. school system and the way our credits transfer back. I found today's class pretty interesting when the word Eudaimonia came up and the greek version εὐδαίμων came into my head, so I could relate the true meaning of the word to the lecture. Then I killed two hours before heading to three straight, dull hours of class... at least I understood all of the material. I headed back to my dorm and ran into the girls on the stairs up; they were going to dinner and would walk slow so I could drop my bag and coat off in my room. I caught up to them and had a nice English meal: mincemeat pie and chips, though I really don't like french fries/chips regardless of what you call them or what country I am in. I returned to my room and downloaded some Adele songs and Jen helped me buy my train ticket to Durham on February 18th. I skyped with Matt, even sang to him a bit. :) Now it's off to bed; one class then lots of shopping tomorrow.
