My birthday was really laid back, I woke up late feeling really sick; my throat hurt and I had a cough. I ran into Jen and Kate in the halls around 1pm on my way to the kitchen, so they came in my room and watched me open my presents and cards. They were dying to know what Grammy and Grampy got me because it sat wrapped on my shelf since I've been here. Jen brought me a cupcake and Kate made me a card with loads of pictures of the two of us together on it. Then we made our way to the kitchen altogether so Jen could make me french toast; she was so excited to keep my tradition for me, it was so sweet. We spent the rest of the day slothing, watching Letters to Juliet and some british TV show The Inbetweeners. We each made our own dinner of pasta, though after a few bites I felt sick so I stopped. around 8 pm I brought in the cake and knocked on the other girls' doors to join us. My cake was a hedgehog and the girls had bought red sparkly hear candles for my cake! Best cake ever. They sang to me and I made my wish while blowing out the candles. Then we proceeded to eat such a delicious chocolate cake... surprisingly I liked it despite my dislike for chocolate cake. After cake, I slipped away to skype Jenna and Corrie, which we ran into problems so they both quickly downloaded ooVoo. It was so wonderful, I miss those two, and I can't wait to live with Jenna next year! I returned to Kate's room with her and Jen to cuddle up and watch a Nicholas Cage movie. I again left early to skype Matt. To my surprise, he immediately started singing happy birthday and Gayle and Bob joined in. It was so sweet. And Matt got to be the last person I heard "happy birthday" from.
Though I didn't really do much, I had a great birthday. I could have done without the sickness though...
Thank you everyone!!!
