Day 45

Just a usual Friday. Early breakfast with Jen, followed by two lectures. I returned to my room to chill and nap for a bit. But as I was starting to drift off, there was a pounding on my wall. So, naturally, I went into Kate's room to chill with her and Jen for my last hour before class. Eventually, Kate had to leave to go meet up with her friend just outside Castle Leazes and bring him up for the night. She lectured us on how she was trusting us to not frape her or move all her things in the hallway.. etc. Right after she stepped out, I immediately said to Jen, "Alright, we are going to flip everything upside down!" And so we did, desk, bed, nightside table, chairs, printer, posters, items on the desks and tables, lamp... all in a matter of 5 minutes. The funniest part was that her friend came in and Kate was like "Oh my god!" and her friend Ross said "I don't see anything wro-- oh now I see it." Unfortunately, I was going to be late for class, so I had to leave without unflipping everything. I offered to help when I got back if it was still like that. I returned from class to hear that Gayle loved the 'rainbow message' I left for Matt on his CaringBridge website, which is great because it took me a half hour to write it. We went to dinner, and got out of there as fast as we could once we saw the annoying boy coming out of the dinner queue. I returned to my room  waiting 20 minutes for a skype session, so in that time I decided to get ready for my night out. I finally had someone to dress up for. I had a great talk with Matt, then went to bug Jen a bit. I then went to Kate's room and hung out with her and Ross until Jen came in and soon the other Jen came as well. We sat around playing 'Never have I ever' and listening to music. Eventually we got our taxi down to the Quayside. We got stamped, then went to a bar to chill until we could go in the club. Once we finally got to the club, it was so disappointing. The music was so awful, I just had no desire to be there. We left an hour and a half earlier than we usually would have. We returned to the dorm and stopped by Christian Union for tea and biscuits. I left earlier than the others to go to bed. a bit of a disappointing night, but at least I still had fun.
