While I am studying abroad at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne for a semester, I figured a blog would be a good idea to keep all of my friends and family updated on my British adventures and a good way for me to not get too homesick.

Day 42
Today was nothing special. 10 AM breakfast... but really 10:15 breakfast. We were literally the last people served and there was next to nothing left for breakfast... I assured her that next time I would go to breakfast without her if she wasn't ready. I had 4 lectures, the usual Tuesday. I wore one of the dresses I have bought while being here, and had a discussion with Mom about how I gaurentee I will get asked "Why are you dressed up?" when I finally saw the girls. Sure enough, I hadn't even been back from lectures 5 minutes. Let me tell you a little something, you could call it a pet-peeve I suppose, but I hate and despise and wish evil things to the question "Why are you dressed up?" when it's directed towards me. You want to piss me off? Ask it, I dare you. Because I'm not dressed up, I just dress that way. I like the way I look and I hate looking like a slob. The next person who asks me will probably have an insult coming their way regarding their outfit. Now, back to my Tuesday. We went to dinner, which was just fairly unappetizing, I cannot wait to go home and eat good food. I returned to my room and received a call from Matt. He had a long day at the hospital, but still managed to make me laugh. He promised me he would ask me "Why are you dressed up?" every day; he also let me know that he "could eat sandwiches all day." Oh man, how I miss that boy. I ended my day in Jen's room with 90's music and hair braiding with Jen and Kate.
